Do you like designer clothes, shoes, and accessories, but don't want to pay the extra $$$? Then you have to check-out My Girlfriend's Closet in downtown Cary. This upscale women's clothing consignment shop has a great selection plus they even have maternity clothes. Now through July 16, they have all their shorts and pants- 20% off (excluding designer jeans). Plus check-out their $5 Friday rack for some incredible designer steals.The staff is extra-friendly and didn't mind my little boy poking around and touching merchandise.

If you're going to be in downtown Cary then be sure to visit The Purple Polka Dot boutique. This shop is filled with cute home decor, baby gifts, clothes and a my favorite a sale section.

Have you recently had a baby or know someone that is pregnant? Then you have to head over to the GreenPea Baby Store in downtown Apex and pick-up a copy of The First Thirty Days as Mommy.  The author, Heather Green will be doing a book signing this Saturday at GreenPea Baby in Apex from 10:30 am-12:30 pm.

When you're in downtown Apex, be sure to stop-in The Rusty Bucket and pick-up tickets for Carrabba's of Apex. The proceeds will help raise funds for the Apex Downtown Business Association (ADBA). Stop in The Rusty Bucket during the month of July and purchase a $15 dinner ticket for $10. (proceeds help fund festivals and Christmas on Salem Street).

Lots of sales are happening this weekend in downtown Apex. Sophie & Mollies boutique and Style on Salem have marked down a lot of items and offering great deals. Stock up on some great boutique brand clothing and accessories.



Christmas in July. What better way to beat the heat then to start getting ready for Christmas. Visit Lynn's and Daphne's Hallmark for their Ornament Premiere this weekend July 13-14. They'll be having give-a-ways and festivities to get you in the holiday spirit. They are also having a sale on Vera Bradley retired patterns, frames, decor and all the cute gift ideas you can find in a Hallmark store.

Everybody's been wondering when it will open. Ross in Park West Village will have it's Grand Opening celebration on Saturday, July 14.

Interested in trying something new this weekend? Plan a family outing to the University Mall in Chapel Hill. This unique mall anchored by Southern Season is great place for the whole family. Visit the new and improved Southern Season with their colorful signage and open shopping area filled with kitchen supplies, gifts, flowers, food, a wall full of candy (incentive for the kids) and their new ice cream parlor. The inside of the mall offers boutiques, art galleries and Southern Season's outlet shop (this is a must-shop store). Plus the kids will love The Red Hen children's consignment shop with a play area in the back while mom finds good buys on designer kids clothes and gear. This weekend is the best time to visit because they are having a summer sidewalk sale plus live music and kids activities.
