The List- part 1

Ok, everyone here it is-- The List. Well, part one anyway. It is a little longer than I expected ,and I didn't want to give you information overload. So part one is for the women in your life- mom, friend, girlfriend, sister, daughter.

The List

The List is better than Santa’s List because it offers you great ideas and resources to finding that perfect gift for everyone on your list. These aren’t your run-of-the-mill gifts, but genuine show-that-you-care gifts that will be remembered all year long.

For the Working Mom- MOPS International One-year subscription. Includes: MomSense magazine, the encouraging Mom-E-Mail, and other great benefits. $23.95 MOPS International

For the Stay-at-Home Mom- Show mom how much she rocks with her very own Stay-at-home Rock Star t-shirt and car decal. Tees- $25, Decals-$9. Stay-at-Home Rock Star

For the Wine Lover- a Woozie, a wine glass sleeve similar to a coozie. Prices start at $7.50 Woozie

Jewelry- My preference on gifting jewelry is to give something unique and different. Try these ideas for a truly one-of-a-kind present.
Handcrafted jewelry by local artist in Apex, NC- Daydream Designs

Silverkiln Studios offer handmade silver jewelry by Sarah Parker Herman (a MOPS mom).  My favorite is the fingerprint pieces. Silverkiln Studios

Ok, are you still not sure what to get your special friend, mom, wife, girlfriend or sister then you need to head over to A Southern Season in Chapel Hill. They have it all cooking supplies, food, purses, candy, flowers, lotion and wine. Just walk around and you’ll be inspired.

Part 2- "The Boy" List will be coming later this week. So stay tuned...

Here are list of what's coming near you: Massage Envy Spa opening December 2 at Old Raleigh Village at 3201 Edward Mills Rd in Raleigh. They offer facials, massages and private rooms for couples. Contest

Wristlets are the best especially for Mom's with packed purses because you can put all your stuff inside while the remainder of your purse is dedicated to everyone else, and then when you're headed out by yourself just pull it out for a lightweight look. I found this cute wristlet from MistyandMe, a local Cary, NC crafter, and it could be yours if you become a follower of my blog. The contest starts today and ends a week from today, November 22. I will randomly choose a follower from a drawing. Followers will enjoy being updated on the latest shopping and beauty tips plus encouraging notes just for moms.

Low prices and customer service- who knew?

Typical known for their low-prices on food, Food Lion surprised me today and showed me excellent customer service. I was carrying my two-month old son in my Bjorn pack. When I got to the register the cashier unloaded my cart onto the belt, packed my groceries, put them back into the cart and then another person pushed my cart out to my car and then unloaded my groceries. I wasn't expecting this treatment at all; I thought it only happened at Harris Teeter. The Food Lion in Morrisville on Chapel Hill Rd, now has a life-long customer. A good deed goes a long way. Thanks.
