Weekend Fun

Warm weather means more outdoor fun. This weekend start the day out right with a trip to the Western Wake Farmers Market in Cary in Carpenter Village.  The market opens at 8 am - 12 pm. Listen to music from Kyle Scobie and shop for produce, meats, bread, honey, coffee, flowers and crafts.


After the visiting the farmer's market be sure to head over to PeakFest in Apex. This annual festival held in downtown Apex features arts and crafts, entertainment, food, kid activities and a car show. While you're at PeakFest be sure to visit the The Rusty Bucket or Green Pea Baby to pick up your raffle tickets to win a $1,000 shopping spree in downtown Apex. $2 for 1 ticket or $5 for 3 tickets. There will be some Mompreneur's selling their art and crafts too- stop by Jen's Beads and Things . You'll find beautiful handmade jewelry and purses, great gifts for Mother's Day.

Enjoy a relaxing Sunday at the Sarah P. Duke Gardens in Durham. The Spring Family Fun Day will include drop-in activities from noon- 3 pm. Activities include: Rain in a Bag, Flower Power, Sound Sandwiches, and a Simple Self-Guided Scavenger Hunt.
